I have recently left the NHS after thirty years at a senior level, twenty of those as Chief Pharmacist. I started coaching in-house senior NHS staff in 2018 with noticeable positive results which led to me to pursue coaching as my next career. I have since coached a diverse selection of clients including, senior NHS pharmaceutical and medical staff, board directors and graduate scheme professionals.
As a senior Black woman in the NHS, I have had first-hand experience of the issues and barriers facing senior diverse staff in large organisations. As part of my Diversity Equality and Inclusion work at Challenge Consultancy, I provided safe listening space sessions for individual staff on DEI concerns, as well as facilitated focus group discussions on unconscious bias.
